Booking and cancellation policy

These terms and conditions apply to group and separate bookings made for accommodation, facilities and catering services. Konnevesi Research Station reserves the right to apply the special conditions below as well as the prices in connection with weekends, holidays, special events or the provision of additional services. The use of special terms and conditions will be announced separately at the time of booking. Online booking is both service provider and customer binding after the service provider confirms the booking.

Payment
Online bookings must be paid for in full at the time of booking via online payment. Alternatively, companies and organizations can also choose to pay by invoice. The booking system sends the booking confirmation and receipt for payment to the e-mail address provided by the customer. If the customer does not receive a booking confirmation/receipt to the e-mail address they have provided, they should contact office-konnevesi@jyu.fi. To speed up the check-in process, it is recommended that the client present the above documents (e.g. from a mobile phone screen) on arrival at the research station.

Personal data
When booking services, the customer's name, telephone number, e-mail address, and payment method are required. If an invoice is selected as a payment method, an e-invoice operator, OVT ID, and a business ID/personal identification number are also required.

Cancellation and changes to the reservation
Cancellation of the reservation and refund of payments made is possible free of charge when it is made at least 28 days before the start of the reservation. Later than 28 days before or during the start of the booking, no refunds will be made by the customer. Cancellations, as well as other booking changes, must always be made in writing, by email to office-konnevesi@jyu.fi . It is strongly recommended that the customer take out travel insurance in case the booking should be cancelled suddenly, close to the time of arrival.

The right of Konnevesi Research Station to cancel the reservation   

Konnevesi Research Station reserves the right to cancel the customer's reservation in the event of force majeure or other reasons independent of the service provider, such as fire and/or water damage. In this case, the customer will immediately be informed of the cancellation and the research station will refund the total amount paid. 

Accommodation     

Check-in time is on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Check-out on the day of departure at 10 a.m. If the customer arrives after 3 p.m., it must be announced in advance. If necessary, the customer can inquire about the possibility of a later check-out time by e-mail toimisto-konnevesi@jyu.fi or by phone +358 40 529 4756. Cleaning, bed linen and towel included in the accommodation price. The customer is responsible for the damage they cause at the site. Any damage caused shall be reported immediately to the personnel of the research station.

Meal reservations

Meal services are available at an additional cost and with advance booking. Meal reservations for groups (over 5 people) must be made at least 10 days before arrival. Individual meal reservations can be booked by 12 a.m. the day before arrival. Please also indicate any food allergies and dietary restrictions at the time of booking.
